It starts with our people, which is why we need a Finance Systems Architect to join our team and be responsible for designing, building, implementing, and maintaining the complex software that financial operations rely on, ensuring data accuracy, security, and seamless integration between platforms like HRIS, desktop and other firm systems, bridging the gap between finance needs and technical solutions using programming, data management, and systems analysis.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in various Tech Finance projects. Examples of recent projects include the implementation of Elite 3E, implementing Chrome River eInvoicing, migrating onto Intapp Time Cloud and eBH embed into 3E. Roadmap projects include Chrome River PO, implementing Intapp Billstream (Paperless Proforma) and moving to Elite 3E Cloud.
- Development and testing of Tech Finance applications to include 3E, Paperless Proforma, 3E Templates, eBH, Emburse and Intapp Time.
- Monitor and troubleshoot the various integrations between all applications and 3E, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Provide team assistance on Tech Finance support tickets and cover during busy periods and holidays.
- Month-end system procedures, to include system balancing, integrity checks, FX Reval and monthly close of inactive clients and matters.
- Take a role in the support of the firm’s Tech Finance systems globally.
- Documentation preparation and maintenance, including functional specifications, communications, training documents and system setup processes following a robust change control process.
- Work with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to ensure delivery to Time, Quality & Cost.
- Act as an agent for change, driving transformational change to improve the way Finance and Technology operates around end to end processes.
- Regular interaction with Technology teams and Project Managers whilst undertaking various internal tasks and projects.
- Field systems, process, reporting and data related questions from the business, generally from Business Managers, Partners, Fee Earners and Legal PA's.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of 3E is essential.
- Strong knowledge of SQL is essential.
- Experience with cloud-based / SaaS systems is desired.
- Experience working in an international law firm and supporting finance systems with multiple currencies.
- Thorough understanding of finance systems and their integrated functionality.
- Understanding of the legal industry environment in general and of legal finance systems in particular.
- Proven stakeholder management experience, demonstrating ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure.
