BCL have over 50 years’ worth of experience in the design, manufacture and installation of slatted timber panel systems for large commercial projects and have been at the heart of some of the most forward thinking and technically demanding modern commercial projects in timber. We currently have an opportunity for an Estimator/ Buyer based at our head office in Hurst, Berkshire. This is primarily an office-based position.
Duties:
- Perform drawing take offs
- Liaise with suppliers, order materials and monitor budgets
- Design coordination
- Ensure compliance with Timber Chain of Custody and Quality procedures
Essential Requirements:
- Good communication and personal skills both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and organisation
- IT proficiency: especially Microsoft Excel
- Teamworking skills
- Able to read a technical drawing
- Good knowledge and experience of manufacturing/construction, specifically ceiling or wall cladding
Compensation:
- Salary £40,000 + dependent on experience and discretionary bonus
- Job Type: Full-time office based
- Holidays: 28 days (inclusive of all bank holidays) per annum, increasing to 33 days after your first year of employment
- Hours: 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Thursday. 9.00- 4.00 Fridays
- Dress code: smart casual
