PROJECTS LAWYER

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Projects Associate or Senior Associate to join a highly regarded national law firm recognised for advising on some of the UK's most significant PFI, PPP and infrastructure projects.

Joining an established and collaborative Commercial & Infrastructure team, you will advise on a broad range of complex Public Private Partnership (PPP) and Private Finance Initiative (PFI) matters across sectors including:

Working alongside recognised experts, you'll support clients through every stage of complex infrastructure projects, from operational contract management through to expiry, transition and future service delivery arrangements.

As a senior member of the team, you will

  • Lead on complex commercial and infrastructure transactions.
  • Advise public and private sector clients on the operational management of PFI and PPP contracts.
  • Provide strategic advice on contract interpretation, variations and risk management.
  • Support clients with project expiry, handback and future service delivery arrangements.
  • Work collaboratively with specialists across construction, procurement, finance, corporate, property, disputes, pensions, employment, IT, information governance and regulatory teams.
  • Supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers.
  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
  • Play an active role in the continued growth and success of the team.

Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors with

  • 2+ years' post-qualification experience.
  • Strong experience advising on PFI, PPP or other complex public infrastructure contracts.
  • Experience supporting the operational delivery and management of long-term infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of PFI expiry, transition planning or handback arrangements would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and technical legal skills.
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers.
  • A collaborative mindset with a genuine enthusiasm for complex infrastructure work.
