Professional Support Lawyer – Real Estate | International Law Firm | City of London

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Real Estate Lawyer to move into a forward-thinking Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) role within one of the UK\’s leading Real Estate practices.

Unlike traditional PSL positions, this role is future-focused: you will play a key part in shaping how lawyers of tomorrow deliver legal services, helping the team work more efficiently through innovative knowledge management, automation, and AI-driven solutions.

The Opportunity:

The firm\’s Real Estate group is consistently recognised as one of the UK\’s top practices, advising on high-profile investment, development and regeneration projects across sectors including office, retail, industrial, logistics, hospitality, life sciences, residential and mixed-use schemes. Clients include major developers, investors, lenders, occupiers, and international stakeholders.

Joining a well-established knowledge team, you will work closely with partners and fee earners nationally to drive knowledge strategy, training, and innovation within the department. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact on a market-leading Real Estate practice while developing your career in professional support.

Key Responsibilities:

– Developing and maintaining precedents, practice notes, and know-how resources, with a focus on commercial property.
– Designing and delivering training programmes, workshops, and legal updates for fee earners.
– Providing insights on case law, legislation, and policy developments affecting real estate.
– Driving innovation by working with Legal Tech and Business Transformation teams to introduce automation and AI-powered tools.
– Supporting fee earners, marketing, and business development teams with thought leadership and client publications.
– Building and maintaining external relationships with industry bodies such as HM Land Registry and attending relevant forums to ensure the team stays ahead of market practice.

Candidate Requirements:

– Qualified solicitor with 5+ years\’ PQE in Commercial Real Estate (landlord & tenant, investment, development, asset management, and finance structures).
– Recent fee-earning experience essential; prior PSL experience is beneficial but not required.
– Technically strong with the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical, user-friendly guidance.
– Experience with legal technology, automation, or AI tools would be an advantage.
– Strategic thinker with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across national teams.
– Organised, proactive, and able to influence and inspire colleagues.
