An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Knowledge Lawyer / Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to join the highly regarded Real Estate Disputes team of a leading international law firm in London. This is an exciting role for a technically strong Real Estate Disputes Solicitor who enjoys sharing knowledge, developing best practice and driving innovation. Whether you are already working as a Knowledge Lawyer or are an experienced fee‑earner looking to transition into a PSL position, this role offers the opportunity to influence the development of one of the firm's most respected contentious real estate practices.
You’ll work alongside recognised experts in the field, helping to shape the team's knowledge strategy, develop market‑leading resources and ensure lawyers remain at the forefront of legal and commercial developments.
The Real Estate Disputes team advises an impressive client base including landlords, tenants, developers, investors, corporate occupiers, financial institutions, insolvency practitioners and professional advisers. The team is recognised for handling complex, high‑value contentious property matters, including cases before the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. Alongside high‑profile litigation, the practice advises across the full spectrum of contentious real estate work, including:
- Commercial landlord and tenant disputes
- Lease renewals
- Dilapidations
- Rent review disputes
- Break notices
- Forfeiture and possession claims
- Service charge disputes
- Development disputes
- Title, boundary and rights of way disputes
- Property‑related professional negligence claims
- Building Safety Act matters
Joining a collaborative and collegiate environment, you'll become part of a well‑established Knowledge Lawyer community, working across practice groups to support innovation, legal technology initiatives and knowledge sharing throughout the firm.
As Knowledge Lawyer, you will play a central role in supporting the Real Estate Disputes team by:
- Monitoring legal and procedural developments affecting contentious real estate.
- Producing practical know‑how, precedents, standard documents, guidance notes and playbooks.
- Providing technical support on complex legal issues and civil procedure.
- Designing and delivering engaging internal and client training programmes.
- Supporting the development of litigation strategies and best practice guidance.
- Working with partners and fee earners to improve consistency, quality and efficiency across the team.
- Driving innovation through the use of legal technology and AI‑enabled knowledge management tools.
- Collaborating with Business Development and Marketing teams on thought leadership, client updates and external publications.
- Contributing to the firm's wider knowledge management strategy alongside fellow Knowledge Lawyers.
About You:
- UK qualification with 5+ years' PQ* in Real Estate Disputes.
- Alternatively, existing experience as a Knowledge Lawyer / Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) within a real estate disputes practice.
- Strong technical expertise across contentious property law.
- Excellent drafting, analytical and legal research skills.
- Experience interpreting complex case law and legislation into practical guidance.
- Confidence delivering presentations and training to legal professionals and clients.
- A collaborative approach with excellent organisational and project management skills.
- A genuine interest in knowledge management, legal innovation and continuous improvement.
