An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Competition Lawyer to join a highly respected and expanding Competition team in London. This role will appeal to lawyers seeking to develop their career within a top‑tier practice, working closely with market‑leading specialists on complex and high‑value competition and regulatory matters. This is a chance to build your profile in a team known for its sophisticated competition law offering and high‑quality client base.
You will advise major corporates, FTSE‑listed companies, global brands, and fast‑growth innovators across a diverse range of sectors including technology, financial services, automotive, energy, infrastructure, retail and consumer goods. The work spans both contentious and non‑contentious matters, offering genuine breadth and the opportunity to deepen expertise across key areas of UK and EU competition law. You will also gain significant exposure to strategically important mandates and multi‑jurisdictional matters, often in collaboration with colleagues across corporate, commercial, litigation and regulatory teams.
The team operates across the UK and Europe, advising on UK, EU and multi‑jurisdictional competition matters. Known for its high calibre of work, the practice has recently advised key parties in major cartel investigations and a significant Phase 2 merger review, demonstrating its strength in handling sophisticated and high‑profile matters. With a reputation for excellence in both advisory and contentious competition work, the team provides a supportive environment where lawyers can develop technical expertise and sector knowledge while benefiting from direct access to senior practitioners.
Key Responsibilities- Advising on merger control, including UK and cross‑border filings and Phase 1/Phase 2 reviews
- Acting on antitrust and cartel investigations
- Providing practical, commercially focused competition compliance advice
- Supporting clients on competition litigation and regulatory appeals
- Advising on the National Security and Investment Act in the context of corporate transactions
- Engaging directly with clients and contributing to business development initiatives

Candidate Requirements- 2‑5 years' PQE
- Strong grounding in UK and/or EU competition law
- Experience across antitrust advisory, merger control and investigations
- Working knowledge of the NSI Act

- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to practice development
- Excellent academics and a keen interest in competition law developments
