We have an opportunity for a Healthcare Advisory Solicitor to join a leading team based in the North. This awardâwinning and growing legal team provides almost 2,000 organisations with commercial, corporate, property, finance, regulatory, employment and litigation (commercial and clinical negligence) legal and advisory services.
The Health and Care Regulatory team delivers advice and support to health, social care, education and housing organisations across the public and independent sector. We are a team of 38 colleagues operating from four offices (Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds and London) on a flexible hybrid basis.
The role involves advising clients on a range of health, social care and education issues, both contentious and nonâcontentious. The team's services include management of complex litigation in the Court of Protection, human rights, inquests, mental health, safeguarding, patient safety, serious incident response, complaints and disputes, HSE/CQC inspection and enforcement, education, children law, and challenges to decisionâmaking in health and social care.
Key Responsibilities- Manage your own varied caseload of both advisory and litigation matters
- Advocacy at inquests, Court of Protection hearings and tribunals
- Active involvement in client care and business development
- An interest in developing a career in health, social care law and/or education law
- An ability to work confidently and effectively with others, clients and colleagues alike
We operate a hybrid working model based on the needs of our clients, teams and people. Our core business hours are 9 am â 5:15 pm Monday to Friday, but we welcome flexible arrangements around those times. We try to offer you the flexibility to work your week in a way that suits you.
