Conveyancer, Conventry
We have an opportunity for an experienced conveyancer to join a thriving team based in Coventry.
The firm are looking for someone to lead and manage the Conveyancing Department, ensuring the efficient delivery of legal services, high standards of client care, full regulatory compliance, and the ongoing development and performance of the department.
- Department Leadership and Management
- Lead, supervise and manage all staff within the Conveyancing Department.
- Oversee and coordinate the performance of the overall Conveyancing Department
- Allocate and oversee workloads to ensure effective use of resources and timely progression of matters.
- Monitor performance across the department and address any issues as they arise.
- Provide supervision, guidance and support to fee earners and support staff.
- Conduct appraisals and contribute to the development and training of team members.
- Ensure the department operates in line with firm policies, procedures and service standards.
- Fee Earning Responsibilities
- Maintain a personal caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion.
- Ensure all matters are progressed efficiently and in accordance with agreed timescales.
- Maintain high standards of client care and communication.
- Provide technical input and support on complex or high-value matters within the team.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional obligations, including SRA, CQS, AML, GDPR and lender panel requirements.
- Ensure all files are maintained in accordance with firm procedures and quality standards.
- Liaise with Compliance Officers in relation to audits, risk management and regulatory matters.
- Undertake regular file reviews to ensure compliance and quality standards are met across the department.
