An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join a highly regarded, full-service law firm based in York. With a strong presence across Yorkshire and an outstanding reputation for client service, the firm combines deep local knowledge with a growing national client base. You will be joining a well-established and supportive legal team known for its expertise, collaboration, and commitment to excellence.
The Role
You will manage your own varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion, supported by a dedicated conveyancing assistant. In addition to fee-earning responsibilities, you will also take on a supervisory role, providing guidance, oversight, and support to junior team members and support staff. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career, with a blend of hands-on legal work and team leadership responsibilities.
Your caseload will include:
- Sales and purchases
- Freehold and leasehold transactions
- Registered and unregistered titles
- Remortgages
- Leasehold flats
- New build properties
- Transfers of equity
- Regular, direct client interaction
You will also:
- Supervise and mentor junior colleagues and support staff
- Assist with workflow management and team organisation
- Contribute to maintaining high service standards across the department
About You
You are a Residential Property Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive, or an experienced Residential Conveyancer. You have at least 18 months' experience handling a full conveyancing caseload independently. You are confident supervising or mentoring others, or ready to step into a leadership role. You are highly organised with excellent communication skills. You enjoy working collaboratively while managing your own workload.
