A respected and growing national law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join its well-established West Yorkshire office. The firm is known for its client-focused service, collaborative culture, and forward-thinking approach, offering an environment where talent is supported and progression is actively encouraged.
The Role
As a Residential Conveyancer, you will join a close-knit, highly experienced property team, managing your own varied caseload from instruction through to completion. You will have autonomy and responsibility, along with the support of a knowledgeable team that prioritises quality service and efficient workflows. Your caseload will typically include:
- Sales and purchases of residential properties
- Freehold and leasehold transactions, including registered and unregistered titles
- Remortgages and refinancing matters
- Leasehold flats, shared ownership, and more complex leasehold arrangements
- New build purchases, including Help to Buy and developer‑specific requirements
- Transfers of Equity and title amendments
- Regular liaison with clients, estate agents, lenders, developers, and other solicitors to ensure a smooth and timely completion
- Maintaining accurate and compliant file management in line with regulatory standards
Delivering outstanding client care is central to the role—you will provide clear communication, practical advice, and proactive updates throughout each transaction.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience managing a full and diverse residential property caseload independently
- Qualification as a Residential Property Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive, or relevant experience as a Residential Conveyancer
- Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing procedures, SDLT requirements, and lender panel expectations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a busy environment
