Real Estate Lawyer (Senior Associate)

A leading London law firm is seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate to join its renowned Commercial Real Estate team. This permanent, full-time role is ideal for an experienced real estate lawyer looking to advance their career by working on high-value development, investment, and landlord and tenant matters for sophisticated clients.

The successful candidate will work closely with partners and other senior lawyers, providing high-quality, commercially-focused advice across a diverse portfolio of London and UK-based commercial real estate projects, including mixed-use developments, office, retail, and industrial assets.

• Acting for developers, institutional investors, corporate occupiers, and funds on acquisitions, disposals, and development projects
• Advising on pre-lets, headleases, and landlord and tenant issues
• Handling acquisitions for development, including identifying constraints and providing commercially pragmatic advice
• Advising institutional clients and lenders, including preparation of Certificates of Title (COTs)
• Integrating ESG considerations across the life cycle of an asset, ensuring compliance and strategic value creation
• Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, contributing to their professional development

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5-7 years\’ PQE in a top-tier London or national law firm
• Proven experience acting for sophisticated developers, funds, investors, and corporate occupiers
• Competence in landlord and tenant matters, pre-lets, and acquisitions for development
• Experience advising institutional clients and lenders, including COTs preparation
• Knowledge of ESG principles and their application in commercial real estate transactions
• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior associates
• You will be a self-starter capable of taking ownership of your work while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
