BCL Legal is delighted to be working on an exciting new opportunity with a leading national law firm, which is currently seeking a Real Estate Associate to join its highly regarded Residential Development team in Birmingham. This is an excellent role for a solicitor with 1+ years\’ PQE or newly qualified lawyer with significant pre-qualification paralegal experience in residential development looking to take their next step in a collaborative and supportive environment.
The Role
You\’ll join a specialist team with a stellar reputation for acting on behalf of major housebuilders, developers, and FTSE-listed clients. The work will involve a high level of client contact and the chance to make a real impact on the delivery of large-scale housing developments.
Key responsibilities include:
· Advising on immediate and strategic land acquisitions for residential development
· Drafting and negotiating options, promotion agreements, and overage agreements
· Carrying out detailed due diligence and title investigations
· Working closely with both clients and colleagues to manage projects effectively
· Taking an active role in client engagement and business development initiatives
About You
This opportunity would suit a real estate solicitor or experienced paralegal who is looking to develop their career in a respected and growing residential development team. You should
have:
· At least 1 year of post-qualification experience, or a newly qualified with strong paralegal background in residential development or real estate
· A commercial, client-focused mindset
· Strong drafting skills and technical confidence
