A leading international law firm is seeking an Associate to join its highly regarded Real Estate Finance team in Birmingham. The Role
As an Associate in the Real Estate Finance team, you will:
- Work on a wide range of real estate finance matters, including development finance, investment lending, and complex structured transactions.
- Advise both lender and borrower clients, including UK and international banks, alternative lenders, private equity houses, and institutional investors.
- Draft and negotiate facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor arrangements, and associated legal documentation, often based on LMA standards.
- Collaborate with teams across real estate, construction, tax, and corporate, offering clients a seamless, multi-disciplinary service.
- Participate in the team\'s business development, knowledge-sharing, and innovation initiatives.
- Be part of a dynamic national team acting on many of the market\'s most significant real estate finance transactions, often opposite Magic Circle and US firms.
The Person
We are looking for a solicitor with:
- 2-5 years\' PQE with strong experience in real estate finance or broader banking and finance.
- Familiarity with LMA-style documentation and structured real estate finance transactions.
- Excellent technical and drafting skills with strong attention to detail.
- A collaborative and commercial approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused mindset.
- A proactive approach to career development and interest in contributing to team culture and success.
