You'll be joining a dynamic, highly regarded Commercial & Infrastructure team that advises on major infrastructure projects and complex commercial arrangements including PFI and PPP contracts across key public and regulated sectors such as health, education, housing, transport, custodial, fire service, and local government.
This is a unique opportunity to develop niche expertise in infrastructure-related contracts, working with high-profile public sector clients and leading private sector partners on award-winning projects. With increased demand for legal support on project expiry, contract management, and post-PFI strategy, this role offers real long-term scope and the chance to become a trusted advisor in a high-growth area of law.
Key Responsibilities:- Advise public and private sector clients on commercial contracts relating to infrastructure projects, including PPP and PFI models.
- Draft, negotiate and review a variety of contracts and project documentation.
- Support complex transactions involving contract variations, re-procurement and restructuring.
- Work collaboratively with specialist colleagues across construction, real estate, finance, employment, procurement, and corporate teams.
- Play a key role in operational contract management, handback and future service delivery planning.
- Build trusted client relationships and contribute to ongoing client development activity.
- NQ-3 years' PQE in commercial, projects or public sector work.
- Experience drafting and negotiating contracts.
- A commercial and pragmatic approach to advising clients.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset.
- A genuine interest in infrastructure, public-private partnerships or public sector service delivery.
- Knowledge of PFI/PPP structures or public procurement processes.
- Experience advising local authorities, NHS bodies or other public sector organisations.
- Previous involvement in major infrastructure or outsourcing transactions.
