The Role:
- Associate in the Public Procurement team

- Advising public authorities, utilities and contracting partners on a broad range of procurement matters
- Supporting clients on procurement strategy, direct awards and contract modifications
- Drafting and reviewing procurement documentation including notices, selection questionnaires and invitations to tender
- Advising bidders throughout procurement exercises and providing practical, commercially focused guidance
- Working closely with specialist procurement disputes lawyers on procurement challenges and claims
- Providing procurement expertise on major cross-sector projects involving transport, utilities, construction, real estate, IT, outsourcing and defence
- Building strong client relationships and supporting business development activity
- Taking increasing responsibility and developing specialist expertise within a nationally recognised team
The Candidate:
- Qualified solicitor with 1-5 years' PQE
- Experience of, or a genuine interest in, public procurement and/or utilities procurement law
- Background gained within a regional, national or international law firm
- Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills
- Commercially minded with a practical, solutions-focused approach
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
