After a fairly quiet period for Pensions Lawyer opportunities, we are pleased to bring to market this Associate level Pensions opportunity in Leeds. We are looking for a technically excellent pensions solicitor to join a respected and very well-liked national firm's Leeds office as a key member of its Pensions practice within the broader Employment, Pensions & Immigration group. This is a genuine growth opportunity - you will be joining a team with diverse clients across trustee, employer and public-sector work, contributing to high-value matters whilst helping shape the future of the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Advising trustee and employer clients across a broad pensions workload - from day-to-day scheme advice to complex transaction support.
  • Working on defined benefit and defined contribution matters, including bulk annuity and buy-in/out activity.
  • Supporting corporate transactional work with pensions elements.
  • Delivering commercially focused, high-quality legal advice that clients can act on.
  • Helping develop more junior lawyers and contributing to training.
  • Playing an active role in business development and strengthening client relationships.

About you

You will be a qualified solicitor with 3+ years PQE in pensions law at a reputable firm, and looking to build your career in Leeds. Strong technical knowledge across UK pensions law and excellent drafting/analysis. Commercially aware and client-focused, with the ability to build trusted relationships. Comfortable leading aspects of work with minimal supervision and taking responsibility for significant matters.
