An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Serious Injury Solicitor (2-4 PQE) to join the Manchester office of a leading UK law firm within its highly regarded Serious Injury team.
The Team
The Serious Injury department represents claimants and their families following life-changing injuries, including traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and amputations. The team is recognised for its client-first approach, with a strong emphasis on early rehabilitation and long-term support to help clients rebuild their lives.
The Role
You will work closely with Partners and Senior Fee Earners on a varied and complex catastrophic injury caseload, providing hands-on legal support throughout the life of each matter. Your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting key legal documents such as Schedules of Loss, Disclosure Lists, Witness Statements and Cost Budgets
- Preparing instructions to experts and counsel
- Attending court hearings (in person and remotely)
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, their families and third-party professionals
Depending on experience, there may be scope to manage your own caseload of lower value, less complex Multi-Track matters. You will be well supported through regular supervision and guidance, making this an ideal role for someone looking to build a long-term career in catastrophic injury work.
About You
Qualified Solicitor with 2-4 years' PQE
Experience handling or assisting on claimant catastrophic injury matters
Strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant protocols
Technically confident with excellent organisational skills
Personable, empathetic and comfortable dealing with vulnerable clients
A collaborative team player with a genuine commitment to client care
