BCL Legal is pleased to be assisting a leading national law firm in its recruitment for a Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor at Senior or Principal Associate level to join its highly regarded team. This opportunity is offered on a full or part-time basis (4 days a week), with permanent, flexible and hybrid working options. The Role

  • Join a firm with one of the most respected construction and infrastructure practices in the UK, particularly well-known for its work in the healthcare, local government, housing and emergency services sectors.
  • Handle a broad range of non-contentious construction matters, advising on the full lifecycle of major projects including structuring, procurement, operational issues and terminations.
  • Draft and negotiate key project and construction documents including NEC and JCT contracts, with opportunities to gain further exposure to PFI/PPP and infrastructure projects.
  • Advise on market-leading schemes, including current work under the NHS New Hospital Programme and high-profile PFI terminations.
  • Work collaboratively with partners and wider team members on business development, with the freedom to grow your profile and career in a supportive and ambitious environment.

About You

  • A minimum of 5 years' PQE with solid experience in non-contentious construction law, ideally including work with public sector clients.
  • A strong background in drafting and advising on NEC and JCT contracts, and ideally experience with PFI or infrastructure matters.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and the ability to deliver practical advice to clients.
  • A team-focused, proactive mindset and strong communication skills.
  • A genuine interest in developing client relationships and contributing to the growth of the team.
