An award-winning commercial law firm in Newcastle is seeking an NQ (or soon to be qualified) Solicitor with a genuine interest in commercial debt recovery litigation to join its highly regarded Commercial Debt Recovery team.
- Managing complex pre‑action disputes.
- Conducting mediations and settlement meetings.
- Drafting and dealing with applications within court proceedings.
- Managing a caseload of defended claims, including small claims matters.
- Assisting with and progressing fast track and intermediate track cases.
- Drafting witness statements.
- Preparing costs schedules.
- Instructing counsel.
- Preparing cases for trial.
You will be a proactive and motivated self‑starter with a solid grounding in commercial litigation. The successful candidate will demonstrate an excellent work ethic, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
