This role offers the chance to become a key member of a collaborative team supporting lawyers working across Real Estate Disputes, Construction and Regulatory law, with a particular focus on the Building Safety Act landscape.

This position would suit a legally qualified solicitor with a background in contentious property, construction or regulatory law who enjoys legal research, knowledge management, drafting, and sharing expertise.

It also offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer seeking a more flexible career path, including those returning to practice or looking for reduced or school-hours working arrangements.

The Opportunity.

As a Professional Support Lawyer, you will play a central role in ensuring legal teams remain at the forefront of developments in building safety legislation, construction defects, and real estate dispute resolution.

You will help shape best practice, develop legal know-how, and produce high-quality technical content that supports both clients and fee earners.

Working closely with specialists across multiple practice areas, you will contribute to the continued growth of one of the market\'s most significant Building Safety Act practices while supporting wider real estate disputes work, including telecoms and Electronic Communications Code matters.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyse legal and regulatory developments relating to the Building Safety Act, fire safety, cladding remediation and construction disputes.
  • Coordinate legal know-how and information sharing across the Real Estate Disputes, Construction and Regulatory teams.
  • Draft client briefings, legal updates, articles, insight pieces and technical guidance.
  • Develop and maintain precedent documents, template resources and knowledge materials.
  • Support the delivery of internal training sessions and legal education programmes.
  • Assist fee earners by providing research on complex legal issues and emerging case law.
  • Help develop the team\'s expertise in technical construction defects and recovery actions.
  • Support work relating to telecoms disputes and other real estate litigation matters.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through the use of generative AI and legal technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with lawyers across multiple disciplines to ensure consistent, commercially focused advice and knowledge sharing.

About You

You will be a qualified solicitor with experience gained in a Professional Support Lawyer role or within a contentious legal practice, looking to transition into knowledge management.

You should also be able to demonstrate

  • Experience in Real Estate Disputes, Construction Litigation, Property Litigation or related contentious work.
  • Excellent legal research, drafting and technical writing skills.
  • A genuine interest in knowledge management and legal innovation.
  • Confidence producing client-facing legal publications and internal know-how materials.
  • An interest in developments surrounding the Building Safety Act and construction defects.
  • Experience using, or an enthusiasm for adopting, generative AI and legal technology tools.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a forward-thinking national firm with an excellent reputation and exposure to some of the UK\'s most significant Building Safety Act and property-related matters.

Whether you are an experienced Professional Support Lawyer or a solicitor looking to move away from a fee-earning role into knowledge management, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a highly respected legal practice.
