The Opportunity
As Head of the Professional Support Unit, you will drive innovation in legal knowledge delivery, manage a talented team of PSLs, and help ensure the practice remains at the forefront of legal, technological, and market developments. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and inspire a high‑performing PSL team within the national Employment, Pensions & Immigration practice.
- Drive creativity and innovation in legal content, producing blogs, newsletters, press releases and digital campaigns that enhance the NSL's profile.
- Deliver high‑quality training to lawyers and clients, ensuring the practice stays ahead of key developments, legislation, and industry trends.
- Champion digital transformation, managing automated precedents and exploring emerging tools to increase efficiency and quality.
- Oversee knowledge management, ensuring lawyers receive timely updates on best practice, case law, and market insights.
- Support onboarding, providing first‑class know‑how induction to new joiners.
- Collaborate across the firm, working closely with partners, knowledge experts and innovation teams to strengthen and evolve legal service delivery.
Qualifications
- A qualified solicitor with significant experience in employment law and, ideally, immigration.
- Either a senior PSL with proven leadership experience or a senior lawyer with equivalent know‑how and content‑focused experience.
- Digitally confident, curious, and eager to embrace new tools, automation, and tech‑enabled ways of working.
- An exceptional communicator with excellent written skills and an eye for engaging, informative legal content.
- Commercially aware, collaborative, and comfortable influencing stakeholders across all levels of the firm.
