An established, market-leading UK law firm is seeking a Senior or Principal Associate to join its Commercial & Procurement Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious litigation lawyer looking to work on high-value, complex disputes for prominent public sector clients, while developing leadership skills within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
The team advises across the full lifecycle of major commercial projects - from inception and structuring through to operational delivery, termination and dispute resolution. The practice is nationally recognised for its work across healthcare, local government, emergency services and social housing, offering a genuinely varied and intellectually stimulating caseload.
The disputes team handles a broad range of contentious matters, including:
- Public procurement challenges
- Complex commercial and contractual disputes
- Design and construction disputes
- Payment and operational disputes
- Fire safety and compliance disputes
- Termination and expiry disputes
This role will suit a commercial litigation solicitor with 3+ years' PQE who is ready to take on early responsibility and play a key role in the continued growth of the practice. Key responsibilities will include:
- Advising and leading on public procurement disputes and complex commercial litigation
- Acting for public sector clients across healthcare, local government, emergency services and housing
- Managing High Court litigation and a range of ADR processes, including mediation
- Drafting pleadings, applications, and strategic advice on risk and resolution
- Managing client relationships and working closely with counsel and expert witnesses
- Contributing to the development of the wider commercial litigation practice
About You:
- Solid experience in public procurement disputes and complex commercial litigation
- A strong understanding of the public sector legal environment
- Confidence in managing clients, stakeholders, counsel and experts
- The ability to run matters with increasing autonomy and attention to detail
- A collaborative mindset and an interest in mentoring and leadership development
