An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a talented Construction Litigation Lawyer to join a market-leading Construction & Engineering practice within a top-tier national law firm, based in London.
You will be part of an established and highly regarded team operating at the forefront of the construction and infrastructure sector. The work is both complex and high-value, offering exposure to major disputes and high-profile projects. For lawyers looking to elevate the calibre of their work, specialise further in construction disputes, and develop a long-term career in an ambitious, well-resourced team, this role offers an outstanding platform.
The team advises an impressive client base, including:
- Developers, contractors, subcontractors and consultants
- Insurers, investors, banks and financial institutions
- Public authorities, universities and infrastructure bodies
- Energy and utilities providers
The practice is regularly instructed on major infrastructure schemes, building remediation work, energy and process plant developments, and regeneration projects. Work spans adjudications, TCC litigation, international arbitration and all forms of ADR, alongside the provision of project counsel services on live matters.
You will act on a wide range of contentious construction matters across the development, infrastructure, energy, utilities, transport, regeneration, hotels and leisure sectors. The breadth and complexity of work will support strong career progression and the opportunity to develop sector-specific expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling time, cost and defect-related claims
- Advising on building safety and cladding disputes
- Managing adjudications, arbitrations and mediations
- Running TCC litigation matters
- Providing strategic dispute avoidance, risk management and project counsel advice
Candidate Requirements
- 3-6 PQE
- Strong background in contentious construction law, ideally including building safety matters
- Excellent technical skills with strong commercial awareness
- Confident advocacy, drafting and negotiation abilities
- Collaborative mindset and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional client service
- Enthusiasm to contribute to a nationally recognised and growing practice
