This is a major UK business, and one of the leaders in its field, with several thousand employees, and operating in a highly environmentally conscious sector. The business is looking to recruit a 2‑3 PQE Commercial Lawyer to take a lead role on the business’s key commercial contracts with its main customers.
Reporting into the Lead Commercial Counsel, the remit of the role includes:
- Leading on a range of commercial contracts including customer‑facing and supplier‑facing agreements
- Assisting on corporate finance transactions
- Providing legal advice to all levels of the UK business and managing key internal stakeholders such as the bids/tenders team
- Managing external legal counsel
- Advising on general legal & compliance matters
You will be interacting closely with senior stakeholders and decision makers within the business, where the business already has significant operations in this area. Therefore, it is key that you bring significant commercial acumen to the negotiation table in a customer‑facing, sales‑driven environment.
This is a superb opportunity for a bright, ambitious 2‑3 PQE commercial lawyer to get involved in the business, taking on a highly interesting and challenging role with the support of more senior commercial lawyers who are personable and supportive.
The business is headquartered in the East Midlands and it is a pre‑requisite that you can commit to a minimum of two days per week in the East Midlands HQ, with the opportunity to work from home three days per week.
