A fast growing global manufacturing company is seeking a Compliance Lawyer to join the international legal & compliance team. The business is headquartered in Europe and this opportunity offers the opportunity to be the UK lead for compliance matters. This opportunity offers you substantial opportunities to make the role your own.
The purpose of the role is to work with all areas of the business to ensure proper processes are put in place and followed.
Key Functions of the Compliance Lawyer:- Report into the Senior Management team in the UK;
- Review, update and maintain the company's legal ethics and compliance policies, staying on top of current legislation across anti-money laundering, anti-bribery & corruption, data protection, modern slavery, competition and other sector specific regulations;
- Identify areas of improvement in the company's procedures, working closely with the legal team and all areas of the business to improve and implement new changes and promote the ethical culture of compliance;
- Review and update all training and guidance given to the wider business;
- Advise on issues of non-compliance, engaging and managing external lawyers as appropriate.
The successful candidate will have a strong compliance background, but need not have covered all areas mentioned. What is key is that you have the enthusiasm and desire to be a true 'business partner' who is seeking an opportunity to be front, point and centre of implementing sophisticated compliance policies and procedures.
The package includes up to 10% bonus, a strong pension as well as private medical and life insurance. The business requires you to be able to commit to some office contact in the Nottingham office.
