BCL Legal is delighted to be assisting a highly regarded regional law firm seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join their busy Nottingham team. This is an exciting growth opportunity for a confident, commercially minded lawyer with 5‑10 years' PQE looking to work on high‑net‑worth and complex private family cases.
The role involves managing a diverse, high‑quality caseload, including:
- High‑net‑worth financial remedy negotiations and proceedings
- Children Act matters
- TOLATA claims
- International family law cases
- Injunctive proceedings and preventative work
You will work closely with partners to drive cases forward, contribute to the team's strategy, and support junior team members in their professional development. There is scope to develop a specialist area of interest and proactively contribute to business development in the local and regional market.
Candidate profile:
- Recognised legal qualification
- 5‑10 years' PQE in Family Law, including high‑net‑worth cases
- Strong technical knowledge of divorce, financial remedy, pre/post‑nuptial agreements, Children Act proceedings, TOLATA, and international cases
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Proactive, commercially minded, and collaborative
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Working arrangements:
- 37.5 hours per week, 09:00‑17:30 with 1‑hour lunch, some flexibility on finish
- Hybrid working: 3 days in office, 2 days remote
- Travel may be required for business development, meetings, and training
