A well-regarded regional law firm, ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers UK Guide, is seeking an Employment Solicitor (3-5 years' PQE) to join its Birmingham office. This is a full-time, permanent position offering hybrid working, a supportive team environment, and excellent opportunities for career progression.

The Role

You will join an established and award-winning Employment team, advising a broad mix of employer and employee clients on a wide range of matters. The role offers high-quality work, strong support, and the opportunity to take an active role in business development, client relationships, and team growth.

  • Advising on employment law issues such as disciplinary processes, redundancy, TUPE, contracts, and workplace disputes
  • Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements
  • Managing Employment Tribunal claims from start to finish
  • Drafting employment contracts, staff handbooks, and internal policies
  • Advising on restrictive covenants and breaches of confidentiality
  • Contributing to articles, seminars, and networking events
  • Mentoring junior team members and supporting firm-wide development initiatives

About You

  • 3-5 years' PQE in employment law
  • Experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to manage your own caseload
  • A proactive attitude toward business development and networking
