EL/PL Fee Earner-Birmingham
We have a role for an EL/PL Solicitor to join a leading Casulty team based in Birmingham.
This Casualty team provides a full, expert service in defending public liability (PL), employers\’ liability (EL) and product liability claims, across the private sector and the public sector.
You will be provided with the opportunity to work on a wide variety of cases including EL/PL but with a primary focus on Occupational Stress matters. These cases are varied in theme, document heavy and factually complex. We are looking for someone with an eye for detail who is comfortable managing the high quantity of documents associated with each case. This is an excellent opportunity to build strong client relationships and really make your mark.
Your key duties and responsibilities will include:
Managing disclosure documents in respect of occupational stress claims
Assisting fee earners with various tasks including general case management, legal research, drafting of witness statements, reports to clients and preparation for court hearings
Attending client meetings and court hearings to support fee earners
Assisting with the instruction of Counsel and experts
Responding promptly and accurately to correspondence and telephone enquiries from clients and other parties, with and without supervision
Achieving set financial and chargeable targets
Supporting the team\’s business development activities
