A corporate associate is offered an outstanding opportunity to join an industry leading corporate team at this top tier international practice, in London. The firm, which ranks as both one of the top firms and M&A practices in the UK, is looking to grow their Corporate offering with the addition of a talented Associate, from NQ up to 4 years' PQE.
The London corporate undertakes high-value, complex, and challenging matters for clients both domestically and internationally including the world's largest pharmaceutical companies, bio-tech, and technology companies, in addition to clients across the life sciences sector. My client is currently looking to add a talented corporate lawyer, with strong experience and interest in M&A work.
The salary bracket for the roles starts at £150k from NQ, up to £170k at 4 PQE, in addition to a discretionary bonus scheme. The firm-wide target is 1700 hours p/a. The firm has a streamlined corporate team, who punch well above their weight, on exclusively cross-border work, liaising with colleagues in New York, as well as their regulatory and anti-trust practices in the US and Europe.
The successful corporate associate joining this team will handle a full range of corporate work, which will include:
- M&A (mainly private-focused)
- Equity and debt capital markets
- Private equity and venture capital transactions
- Joint ventures
- Complex life sciences licences
- Commercial contracts
This position is ideally suited to a junior/mid level corporate associate who is either newly qualified or up to four years' PQE. Candidates applying for this position should be able to display:
- A strong academic background
- Training and post-qualified corporate experience gained with a reputable national or international practice or city-firm
- Strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in business development and client relationship management
With regards to hybrid working, my client operates a 60% office attendance policy, with the option to also work from any of their regional offices.
