Are you an experienced compliance professional with a strong understanding of residential conveyancing? We are working with a well-established, forward-thinking law firm seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining regulatory excellence within a busy and dynamic conveyancing environment.
The Role
- Overseeing and strengthening the firm's compliance framework, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and legal obligations within the conveyancing department.
- Monitoring compliance with SRA Standards & Regulations.
- Managing AML policies, procedures, and file audits.
- Overseeing risk assessments and internal compliance reviews.
- Handling regulatory reporting requirements where necessary.
- Providing guidance and training to fee earners and support staff.
- Reviewing and updating internal policies and procedures.
- Acting as a point of contact for compliance-related queries.
About You
- Has proven compliance experience within a conveyancing or property law environment.
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of AML regulations and SRA requirements.
- Has excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Is confident advising senior stakeholders on risk and compliance matters.
- Can work independently while supporting a collaborative team culture.
COFA or COLP experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
