An established organisation is looking to add a Clinical Negligence Claims Handler to its team in Leeds.
The role will focus on defendant clinical negligence work, managing a caseload of claims and working closely with internal teams and external legal professionals to progress matters effectively.
They are open to candidates coming from either a claimant or defendant clinical negligence background, so this could suit someone looking to make a move across from claimant work into a defendant environment.
The role
- Managing a caseload of clinical negligence claims
- Handling matters through the lifecycle of the claim
- Assessing liability, quantum and litigation risk
- Working with solicitors, medical professionals and other relevant stakeholders
- Providing clear and considered advice on claims
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring matters are progressed efficiently
About you
They are looking for someone with previous clinical negligence experience. This could be gained within either a claimant or defendant environment.

- Qualified solicitors / legal executives
- Non-qualified fee earners or claims professionals with relevant experience
- Candidates with claimant clinical negligence experience looking to move into defendant work
- Candidates already working within defendant clinical negligence
The key requirement is solid clinical negligence experience and an understanding of handling claims.
The role is based in Leeds with hybrid working.
