A leading international law firm is looking to appoint a mid-level Associate to join its established IP Life Sciences team in London. This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-profile patent litigation for clients operating at the forefront of the life sciences sector. The role offers exposure to sophisticated UK and multi-jurisdictional disputes within a collaborative international team.

The Intellectual Property team is recognised for its strength across contentious and non-contentious IP matters, advising innovative businesses on the protection, enforcement and commercialisation of valuable intellectual property rights. Working alongside experienced partners and specialists, the team advises clients across technically complex industries on strategically important patent disputes and broader IP issues.

You will join a busy, varied practice and can expect to be involved in:

  • Advising on UK and multi-jurisdictional patent litigation, with a focus on life sciences
  • Managing complex patent disputes from inception through to resolution
  • Working closely with clients to deliver practical, commercially focused advice
  • Collaborating with colleagues across jurisdictions on cross-border matters
  • Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the continued growth of the practice

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A qualified solicitor with 3-6 years' PQE in intellectual property litigation
  • Experienced in UK patent litigation within the life sciences sector
  • Degree-qualified in a life sciences discipline such as Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or a related subject
  • Commercially minded, technically strong and confident managing complex matters
  • An excellent communicator who enjoys working collaboratively within an international team
