Senior Construction & Projects Lawyer to join its in-house legal team.
This is a genuinely construction projects-focused role , advising on complex, high-value infrastructure developments from procurement and construction through to operation and maintenance.
The role
You will
- Lead on major construction and infrastructure projects , advising from an employer/client perspective.
- Draft, negotiate and advise on
EPC, NEC3/NEC4, IChem E, MF1 and other construction contracts , alongside PPP/PFI, O&M, supply, offtake and funding agreements.
- Support project development, tenders, procurement and project finance .
- Advise on contractual risk, disputes, variations, delays and other complex project issues.
- Work with contractors, subcontractors, joint venture partners, funders, Local Authorities and other key stakeholders.
- Manage external legal advisers on complex projects and transactions and a junior legal counsel.
- Provide pragmatic legal advice to senior stakeholders and support the development of junior lawyers.
- Develop precedents, processes and legal training for the wider business.
About you
We are looking for a
UK-qualified Projects / Construction Solicitor with at least 8 years' PQE .
You will have strong experience of major construction contracts and infrastructure projects , ideally including NEC3/4, IChem E Red Book and MF1.
Experience in energy, waste, infrastructure, utilities or another highly regulated sector would be advantageous.
Most importantly, you will be a commercial, pragmatic and confident construction lawyer who can navigate complex projects, multiple stakeholders and competing commercial priorities.
