BCL Legal is thrilled to be working with a prestigious national law firm to recruit a Real Estate Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to join their highly regarded team. This is a permanent, full or part-time role based in Birmingham, with the option for flexible and hybrid working arrangements. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced real estate lawyer to transition into a strategic, non-fee-earning role, central to the development of a forward-thinking and innovative practice.
The Role
As a member of the Knowledge Management team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Real Estate practice by fostering technical excellence, sharing knowledge, and driving innovation across the team. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the main point of contact for technical queries within the real estate team.
- Maintaining and enhancing the firm's precedent bank and know-how resources.
- Designing and delivering tailored training programs, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Monitoring and communicating updates in property law, including legal and regulatory developments.
- Supporting lawyers with complex legal and drafting queries.
- Contributing to the development of best practices, ensuring consistency and high standards across the team.
- Collaborating with the innovation team to implement legal technology and AI tools to enhance client delivery.
- Driving the digitisation of property processes, fostering efficiencies in service delivery.
- Producing internal updates, briefings, and thought leadership materials.
About You
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need:
- Qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales with 7+ years' PQE in real estate law with a particular focus on landlord and tenant matters.
- Strong technical expertise in commercial property law and regulation.
- Experience within a real estate team in private practice.
- A keen interest in knowledge management, training, and legal innovation.
- Excellent drafting skills with the ability to communicate complex legal matters clearly and concisely.
- Strong research skills and proficiency with tools like Practical Law and Westlaw.
- Confidence in using legal technology and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset and proactive approach to problem‐solving.
- Previous PSL/PDL experience is advantageous but not essential.
