A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its highly ranked Employment team in Birmingham. This is a permanent position with flexible hybrid working options available.

The Role

This position sits within a growing national Employment Practice Group advising an impressive and diverse client base, including:

  • FTSE and Fortune 500 companies
  • Public sector organisations and educational institutions
  • Clients across sectors such as retail, technology, education, healthcare, and financial services

The work spans both contentious and non-contentious matters and can be tailored to suit the successful candidate's interests, including:

  • Day-to-day HR and employee relations advice
  • Employment litigation and tribunal claims
  • Cross-border employment projects and international restructures
  • Immigration and education sector work
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and procedures
  • Industrial relations and collective consultation matters

You will also play a key role in supporting junior team members and contributing to business development and client relationships.

  • Qualified solicitor with 4-8 years' PQE in employment law
  • Experience handling both advisory and contentious employment matters
  • Confident communicator with strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Able to manage matters independently and contribute to team development
