BCL Legal is delighted to be assisting a leading international law firm in the recruitment of a Senior Associate or Legal Director to join its growing Commercial Energy team in Birmingham. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to take on a high-profile role advising on complex energy and infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally.
The Role
As a Senior Associate or Legal Director in the Energy team, you will advise on a broad range of complex and high-value transactions across the energy sector, including renewables, low-carbon technologies, and traditional utilities. Working on a hybrid basis, you will collaborate with colleagues and clients across multiple jurisdictions, delivering commercially focused legal solutions on cutting-edge projects.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of energy and commercial contracts
- Advising on project documentation for renewable, net zero, and low-carbon energy generation and storage projects
- Providing legal advice on energy law, regulation, and compliance
- Supporting clients on risk management and mitigation strategies within energy projects
- Representing clients in negotiations with project counterparties
- Staying up to date with legislative and regulatory developments in the energy sector
