A leading global law firm is seeking a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to join its prestigious Banking & Finance Practice Group at Senior Associate level (4-8 PQE) in Birmingham. This is a permanent role with flexible hybrid working options. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a high-performing Finance team, working on complex domestic and cross-border transactions for major financial institutions, private equity houses, funds, and corporates.
The Role
As a key member of the Banking & Finance PSL team, you will provide strategic knowledge support to the practice, enhancing the technical excellence of the team. The role involves a broad range of responsibilities, working closely with senior PSLs, Partners, Associates, and Legal Technologists across the firm.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting and updating team precedents
- Writing and maintaining internal and client-facing guidance, toolkits, and reports
- Producing bulletins, briefings, and horizon scanning reports
- Managing current awareness and sector developments
- Leading knowledge initiatives with senior partners
- Organising and delivering in-house training, including NQ induction courses
- Managing the team know-how
