I'm delighted to be supporting a large national organisation in the appointment of an experienced Disputes Solicitor. This is a standout opportunity for a contentious lawyer seeking a varied, commercially focused in-house role with real autonomy, visibility and long-term career development. The business operates at scale across England, Scotland and Wales and has a well-established, collaborative in-house legal function.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to take ownership of a diverse civil disputes caseload, working closely with operational stakeholders and senior lawyers to shape dispute strategy across the organisation. You will enjoy a hands-on role with responsibility, influence and the support of an experienced legal team.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will have day-to-day responsibility for managing a mixed caseload including:
    • Consumer disputes
    • Commercial and supplier disputes
    • Real estate and property-related disputes
    • Equality Act and discrimination claims
    • Regulatory and compliance-related matters

Matters will range from high-volume, lower-value claims through to complex multi-track litigation, with appropriate use of external counsel and internal support.

Candidate Profile

This role would suit a confident, experienced commercially minded disputes lawyer, who has qualification as a solicitor, barrister or CILEX lawyer (with litigation rights, and experience across a range of civil disputes). This employer recognises that no candidate will tick every box. If you are a disputes lawyer excited by the prospect of adding value, developing your in-house skillset and working closely with a business, applications are warmly encouraged.

If you would like to discuss this opportunity in confidence or explore whether it could be the right next step for your legal career, I would be delighted to speak with you.
