BCL Legal is working with a highly regarded national firm that is looking to strengthen its Banking & Finance team.
The role offers the opportunity to work on high-quality matters for major UK banks and alternative lenders, alongside a competitive salary and flexible hybrid working.
About the Team
The Banking & Finance team advises major UK banks including Lloyds, RBS, HSBC and Santander, as well as alternative lenders such as Thin Cats, Oak North and Beechbrook Capital.
The team works closely with the firm's Corporate and Property departments, providing a broad range of transactional work.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on banking and finance matters including acquisition finance, property finance, asset-based lending, restructuring and refinancing
- Drafting and negotiating facility agreements and wider finance documentation
- Managing transactions from start to finish and working directly with clients
- Attending and leading client meetings
- Supervising junior team members where appropriate
- Supporting business development and marketing initiatives
- Keeping up to date with legal and market developments
Skills & Experience
- 3+ years' PQE in Banking & Finance
- Strong technical knowledge across a range of banking matters
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Commercial and client-focused approach
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage transactions independently and take responsibility
- Collaborative approach with the confidence to work as part of a wider team
