CORPORATE SOLICITOR - 1+PQE NEWCASTLE
A highly regarded and growing Corporate team is looking to appoint a Corporate Solicitor at around 1 PQE to join its Newcastle-based practice.
The team works closely with private investors, business owners and management teams across a broad range of corporate transactions, providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a varied and high-quality caseload, alongside experienced corporate lawyers involved in significant transactions across the North East and beyond.
Reporting directly to the Head of Corporate, the successful candidate will:
- Assist with a broad range of corporate transactional matters from initial instruction through to completion.
- Have direct contact with clients and develop strong, trusted client relationships.
- Ideally bring their own good-quality corporate workload, while continuing to develop their own client base.
- Work closely with colleagues across the wider firm to deliver a joined-up service to clients.
- Take an active role in business development, networking and profile-raising activities within the Corporate team and across the wider firm.
- Have the opportunity to take ownership of matters and develop their technical and commercial expertise.
The role offers exposure to a diverse range of transactions, including:
- Business and share acquisitions and disposals
- Management buy-outs and buy-ins
- Corporate refinancing and investment matters
- Advising investee companies
- Group reorganisations
- Share buybacks
- Joint ventures and shareholder arrangements
- Private equity and investment transactions
- General corporate and company law matters
The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with previous experience of working on corporate transactions, particularly business and share acquisitions and disposals.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- - Experience of dealing with corporate transactions and a sound understanding of the M&A process.
