Contextual Overview
BCL Legal, a leading international law firm, is expanding its Fund Finance team in London. The firm seeks Associates (1-3PQE) and Senior Associates (5-7PQE) to advise sponsor-side and lender-side clients on fund finance transactions.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Associate: 1-3 PQE with experience in fund finance, leveraged finance, real estate finance or structured finance.
- Senior Associate: 5-7 PQE with established fund finance or closely related finance practice.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and commercial skills.
- Preferably from leading international or City law firms; in-house lawyers with relevant deal experience are also considered.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Advise on a broad range of fund finance transactions for sponsors, fund managers and financial institutions.
- Draft and negotiate complex finance documentation and transaction agreements.
- Work closely with Partners and senior team members, gaining client exposure.
- Develop and maintain client relationships; contribute to business-development initiatives.
- Take increasing responsibility within a collaborative, partner-led team.
Stipend, Compensation & Mode
Competitive remuneration package. The London NQ salary starts at £150,000, with billable-hours bonuses and discretionary bonuses based on performance. Exact figures for associate/senior associate levels are not disclosed.
