Real Estate Associate - Houston, Texas
An established Texas law firm is looking to recruit a junior to mid-level Real Estate Associate to join its Houston team.
The role will involve working on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, development, construction, leasing, financing and disposals across office, retail, industrial and mixed-use assets.
You'll work closely with an experienced team of partners and counsel, with access to hands-on training, mentorship and support as you continue to develop your practice.
The Role
- Drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, closing documents, commercial leases, development agreements, easements and restrictive covenants.
- Managing due diligence, including reviewing and resolving title and survey issues.
- Advising lenders and borrowers on real estate financing, including construction loans, permanent financing, mortgage and mezzanine debt.
- Advising on entity structuring and joint venture arrangements.
- Supporting commercial real estate transactions from inception through to completion.
The Candidate
- At least 2 years' experience in commercial real estate transactions.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills, with experience across a range of commercial real estate matters.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Admitted to the Texas Bar and in good standing, or eligible for admission by waiver.
