Corporate Counsel - Telecoms / Commercial
Texas | $217,000 - $314,000 + 20% bonus + equity + benefits
I'm currently working on a Corporate Counsel opportunity with a global technology business, looking to add an experienced attorney to its legal team in Texas.
The role has a strong telecoms and commercial focus, supporting the business across its Texas operations and wider US activities. It would suit a Texas-admitted attorney with around 3+ years' experience, gained in-house, at a law firm or within government, with experience advising telecoms businesses.
The role will include:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating telecoms agreements, including network infrastructure, capacity, connectivity and interconnection agreements.
- Advising on commercial transactions supporting the business's telecoms and technology operations.
- Supporting extended warranty and insurance programmes, including relevant licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Drafting and negotiating vendor, supply, licensing, OEM and distribution agreements.
- Advising on Texas and US regulatory and compliance requirements, including telecoms, consumer protection, privacy and insurance matters.
- Working closely with commercial, product and operational teams to identify and manage legal and regulatory risk.
The successful candidate will need to be admitted to the Texas Bar and in good standing, or otherwise authorised to practise in Texas.
They're looking for someone commercially minded and collaborative, with strong negotiation and advocacy skills and the ability to provide practical legal advice across a fast-moving business. Experience working on high-stakes issues and strong risk assessment skills would also be beneficial.
Salary: $217,000 - $314,000 + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits.
