Employment Senior Associate - Birmingham
BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a highly regarded national law firm on the recruitment of a Senior Associate to join its Employment team in Birmingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Employment lawyer to join a top-ranked practice, advising a diverse client base across the commercial, higher education, health, sports and charitable sectors.
The Role
- Advising employers on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
- Providing practical, commercially focused advice across a varied client base.
- Undertaking advocacy at Preliminary Hearings where appropriate.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Delivering client training, seminars and legal updates.
- Supporting business development and contributing to the continued growth of the team.
- Working closely with experienced Employment partners and colleagues across the wider national practice.
- Opportunity to collaborate with a national Employment, Pensions and Immigration team of 90+ lawyers.
The Candidate
- Employment Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE, gained in a reputable private practice or in-house environment.
- Strong technical employment law knowledge and experience across both contentious and non-contentious matters.
- Commercial and pragmatic approach to client advice.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable undertaking advocacy and delivering client training.
- A genuine interest in business development and developing client relationships.
