An Senior Counsel opportunity has arisen with a growing retailer based in South Manchester.
Reporting directly to the General Counsel this is an exciting opportunity to operate at a senior level in a listed organisation with access to the Board and other senior stakeholders. The role will focus mainly on commercial contracts and data protection matters but will also involve supporting the General Counsel on corporate governance and risk and compliance matters for the international business.
The role requires 3 days per week in the Manchester office.
The Role:
– Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts;
– Ensuring compliance with data protection legislation and responding to breaches as required;
– IP protection;
– Managing disputes;
– Assisting with Board meetings and the annual report
You:
– Qualified commercial lawyer with c.2-4 PQE;
– Ideally you will have some in-house exposure, either in your permanent role or secondment;
– Excellent drafting and negotiation skills;
– Good working knowledge of GDPR.
