A leading international business is seeking an experienced commercial lawyer to join its UK legal team on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. This is a broad in-house role supporting commercial operations across a large and diverse organisation. The successful candidate will advise on a wide range of commercial matters, working closely with senior stakeholders on complex contracts, projects and risk management issues.
The role will include:
- Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements
- Advising on outsourcing, supplier and customer contracts
- Supporting on complex projects, disputes and contract variations
- Advising on legal and commercial risk
- Working closely with business teams and external counsel where required
- Providing pragmatic, solutions-focused legal advice in a fast-paced environment
Suitable candidates will have:
- 3-8 years' PQE
- Strong commercial contracts experience gained in private practice and/or in-house
- Excellent drafting and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied workload
- Experience with outsourcing or public procurement matters would be advantageous but is not essential
