An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Counsel or Senior Legal Counsel to join the established in-house legal team of a well-known North West brand.

This is a broad, commercially focused role offering the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role across technology, digital and wider commercial initiatives.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative, supportive and high-performing team within an ambitious and fast-moving business.

The Role

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of technology and commercial agreements, including Saa S, software licensing, technology services, infrastructure, outsourcing and supply agreements.
  • Supporting strategic technology, digital transformation, cybersecurity, data, AI and innovation initiatives.
  • Working closely with colleagues across technology, procurement, data privacy and information security.
  • Providing wider commercial advice across areas such as intellectual property, brand protection, marketing and consumer matters, data protection and insurance.
  • Supporting the development and review of internal policies, legal documentation and training.
  • Monitoring legal and regulatory developments and helping the business respond effectively to change.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders and providing clear, practical and commercially minded advice.

About You

We are looking for a qualified solicitor or equivalent UK-qualified lawyer with strong experience in technology and commercial contracts.

You are likely to have around 5 years' PQE or more, although applications will be considered based on the overall strength and relevance of your experience.

Experience may have been gained in private practice, in-house, or a combination of both.

You'll bring strong experience drafting and negotiating technology and commercial contracts and good knowledge across wider commercial legal matters.
