Junior Legal Counsel
Lancashire | Hybrid (2 days office / 3 days home)
Are you a newly qualified solicitor looking to build your in‑house legal career?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established, innovative business with a collaborative culture and a genuine commitment to developing its people.
Working as part of a supportive team of six legal professionals, you'll gain broad commercial exposure from day one, partnering with stakeholders across the business and advising on a wide variety of legal matters in a fast‑paced environment.
The team is known for its approachable, flexible working style and offers excellent mentoring for lawyers taking their first in‑house role.
This opportunity would be particularly well suited to an NQ solicitor who has completed a commercial contracts seat during training and/or undertaken an in‑house secondment.
The Role
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial agreements, including customer and supplier contracts, NDAs, framework agreements and service agreements.
Providing practical, commercially focused legal advice to colleagues across the business.
Supporting tender submissions and reviewing contractual terms.
Advising on data protection, intellectual property and general commercial legal issues.
Assisting with disputes and legal claims where required.
Delivering legal training and contributing to continuous improvement within the business.
Conducting legal research and keeping up to date with relevant legislative developments.
About You
Newly qualified solicitor
Experience gained in commercial contracts during training and/or through an in‑house secondment.
Strong drafting skills and excellent attention to detail.
Commercially minded with a pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach.
Confident communicator who enjoys building relationships across a business.
A collaborative team player who thrives in a supportive environment.
