Position Overview

The role supports tax‑related issues for private equity, infrastructure, renewable resources, private credit and public markets, working with BCI’s Legal Affairs, internal deal teams and external advisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tax support on UK and US/International investments.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance and deal teams on complex, time‑sensitive issues.
  • Assist with internal reorganizations and engagements with foreign revenue authorities and governments.
  • Represent BCI’s London office in tax matters.
  • Oversee tax asset management: valuations, reporting, audits and monitoring of existing investments.
  • Lead special projects and advise on policy matters.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff.
  • Maintain compliance with risk management policies.

Qualifications

  • Professional accounting or law designation (ACA, LL.B. or equivalent).
  • Minimum 8 years experience in taxation with a law firm, accounting firm or industry.
  • Strong technical background in UK and/or US/International tax.
  • Strategic thinker, proactive team player with commercial insight.
  • Ability to collaborate with staff and external advisors to research and solve complex problems.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with private equity, infrastructure, credit or real estate transactions is preferred.
  • Experience with tax‑exempt pension plans, tax‑exempt government investors, or relevant US or European tax law is preferred.

Working Environment

The tax team includes Deal Advisory, Compliance and Enterprise Functions. They deliver customized tax strategy, manage risks, and engage tax authorities worldwide.
