The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 € per hour.

BCHA have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us as a Chef in our Catering Team at Bedford Charter House. Working mainly with fresh ingredients to produce daily nutritious meals for up to 120 covers. This is a part-time position for 20 hours per week, including working alternate weekends. Shifts are either 07:00-15:00 or 10:00-18:00. Full training and induction will be given on all aspects of catering in a Care Home environment to enhance your existing skills or to learn new ones.

KEY RESULT AREAS

  • To ensure all meals that are produced are non-injurious to customers
  • To fill out all relevant HACCP documentation
  • To ensure that all customers receive the quality experience that is expected.
  • All stock is utilised and stored correctly to ensure financial stability
  • To maintain high standards of cleanliness within the department and dining areas
  • To ensure that all chemicals are being used in the correct manner and stored correctly
  • Functions are produced in a timely manner to the budget specified by the catering Manager
  • To ensure that all labelling guidelines, Food information regulations and NaTasha’s law is being adhered to at all times
  • To comply with all BCHA policies and procedures including health and safety, GDPR and fire safety
  • No reports of ill health due to food items are received
  • All paperwork is filled out correctly
  • To log any engagements with customers on pcs/with the catering manager when responding to feedback or general queries
  • Recipes are being followed and no excessive use of commodities is happening.
  • All items are stored in the correct area
  • Following the cleaning schedule and signing off items that are cleaned daily
  • Items are cleaned correctly and safely with no issue arising.
  • All functions are delivered on time with no negative feedback on service
  • Labelling is being carried out to the required specifications
  • To follow these policies rigorously without cause for concern
